Terms of Service
Last updated: January 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kensik Law website at kensiklaw.com and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Kensik Law Is — and Is Not
Kensik Law is a legal information and attorney-connection service. Kensik Law is not a law firm, does not practice law, and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation. No attorney-client relationship is created by using the Service, submitting a form, reading a guide, or communicating with us.
Attorneys in our network are independent, licensed professionals who are solely responsible for the legal services they provide, their advice, their fees, and their compliance with the rules of professional conduct in their jurisdictions. Kensik Law does not supervise, direct, guarantee, or warrant any attorney's work or the outcome of any matter.
2. Informational Content Only
Guides, articles, and other materials on the Service are general information about common legal situations. Laws differ by state and change over time, and general information cannot account for the facts of your situation. Do not act or refrain from acting based on anything you read here. For advice about your circumstances, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
3. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, to use the Service only for lawful purposes, and not to misuse it — including by attempting unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, scraping content at scale, or submitting false, misleading, or third-party information without authorization.
4. Case Review Submissions
When you submit a case review request, you authorize Kensik Law to review the information you provide, to contact you by the methods you have supplied, and to share your submission with one or more independent attorneys in our network for the purpose of evaluating and potentially handling your matter. Submitting a request does not obligate you to retain any attorney, and no attorney is obligated to accept your matter. Any engagement, fee agreement, and scope of representation is arranged directly between you and the attorney.
Please do not send information you consider highly sensitive through the Service. Because no attorney-client relationship exists with Kensik Law, communications with us are not protected by the attorney-client privilege.
5. SMS Messaging Program Terms
If you provide your phone number and check the applicable consent box, you agree to receive text messages from Kensik Law. The following terms apply to our SMS program:
- Program description: recurring automated service updates and account notifications related to your case review request, and, if you separately consent, marketing communications and promotions.
- Message frequency: message frequency varies based on your interaction with us.
- Message and data rates: message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by and payable to your mobile carrier.
- Opt-out: you can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts from that program.
- Help: reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at info@kensiklaw.com.
- Consent is not required: consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any products or services, and is not required to have your case review request evaluated.
- Carriers: supported carriers may change, and wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your number: your phone number will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
Our handling of information you provide is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Email and Telephone Communications
By providing your email address or phone number, you consent to be contacted at those addresses regarding your request. You may withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email, replying STOP to a text, or contacting us directly. We may still send you transactional messages necessary to respond to your request.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its content, including text, guides, layout, graphics, and the Kensik Law name and marks, are owned by Kensik Law or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute it commercially without our written permission.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, practices, or policies, and inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that content is current or complete, or that you will be matched with an attorney or achieve any particular result.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kensik Law and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or from any act or omission of any independent attorney. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kensik Law from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of inaccurate or unauthorized information.
12. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service and may update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the revision. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
